How to measure for braces?

Fitting braces is not an exact science and is very much dependent on the size and build of the wearer. It is more about how high your waistband is than how tall you are.

The majority of braces sold in stores are a standard 48" or 122 cm size which would generally be suitable for someone up to 6'1" tall. However this is only a guide and it is very much dependent on the size and build of the wearer.

The following is a guide, but if in doubt we recommend getting out the tape measure!

Measure from the top of the trousers in the back where the suspenders will attach, diagonally up over the shoulder and down to the point where the suspenders will attach to the trousers in the front. The brace sizes listed are fully extended. So, for example, if your measurement is 44" a size 48" suspender would fit.
